When 5” of Styrofoam is specified for a project it is necessary to combine multiple sheets. Since 4” is he the thickest STYROFOAM™ that is available in a single sheet, a combination of 1” and 4” or 2” and 3” sheets would be used to make up the 5” height. An alternative to using multiple sheets of STYROFOAM™ insulation would be to use a single layer of expanded polystyrene insulation 5” thick. EPS is available in any thickness.
