The customer had us quote 1LB EPS that was cut to form a secant wall form for a location that had limited space and other site restrictions in Washington DC. This type of design is common in areas where buildings are close to each other and strong foundations need to be poured when property lines cannot accommodate standard foundations. The EPS forms are used as block-outs so the concrete can be poured around the EPS which in turn forms the guide walls for the steel piles to be set. Universal Foam received the prints, did a take–off, designed a lay-out and labeled each block for an easy installation.
