Pam Foss has been creating sculpture for forty years. I honestly can’t say that her latest sculpture, the as yet untitled, abstraction of a jumping horse represents the culmination of her magnificent career, but it is a truly extraordinary work in every definable way a sculpture can possibly be described. It is a sculpture of majestic form and movement that beautifully incorporates negative space within its design. I find this sculpture truly awe inspiring, poetic, and mysterious.
This horse sculpture, which Pam crafted in Styrofoam and painted in acrylic is approximately 57” long and 23” tall and ¾” of an inch deep. The sculpture will be cast by the World renowned Polich Tallix Foundry in bronze using the lost wax method immediately after its public debut at Pam’s December 6th through 26th solo show at the Art Centers of Bonita Springs. The first bronze of the five we will ultimately cast will be available by April 1, 2020, with the price of the first sculpture at $49,500.
We know many of you have been following the progress on this sculpture on Facebook and Instagram and hope you are as thrilled with the piece as we are. Please do get in touch with any questions you may have about this incredible new sculpture. Hope to see you on December 6th at the Opening Reception for Pam’s big show in Bonita Springs.
